Is Dark Urine Normal After Taking Udiliv, Sacral-O Syrup And Nexpro-RD For Gallbladder Stone?
Hi, my wife is 27 years old and height is 5ft weight 74kg. On doing ultrasound we found one 6mm stone in gall bladder. So Dr has prescribed Udiliv 300 mg twice a day with sucral O syrup thrice a day and nexpro Rd 40 once a day. But we notice dark urine ( dark brown)after consuming this medicine is it normal?
Udiliv and Nexpro-RD are not causing dark urine. Your wife is diagnosed with gallstones, gallstones can cause dark urine as they are made of bilirubin or cholesterol. Liver conditions like biliary obstruction, jaundice, hepatitis and cirrhosis can also cause dark urine. She is advised to continue taking the medicines prescribed.
Get liver function tests, test for bilirubin and ultrasonography done to rule out hepatomegaly or other related medical conditions. She will be accordingly treated. She is advised to stop taking oily, spicy food. She should not take processed food, red meat, full fat dairy products. For a couple of days, it will be best for her to switch to home-made food that is boiled. Taking boiled water after cooling will be helpful. She should stay away from addictions of any kind.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
