Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Decreasing The Dosage Of Morphine Without Doctor S Consent Safe?
My oxygen saturation levels are under 90. I have bradycardia tachycardia syndrome with a dual lead pacemaker. I have been taking morphine for my arthritis. I also have diastolic dysfunction. I am currently lowering the amount of morphine I take, but wondering if I should make an appointment with my cardiologist? I am 72.
In my opinion you should probably make an appointment with your cardiologist. Morphine dosage should be under doctor consent because can bring different symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Elona Dashi
