Is Delayed Periods With Spotting Signs Of Pregnancy?
My periods are on average 5/6 days long with spotting on the 6th day if any. My periods are 30 days apart on average. I got my period on Sunday 12th November in the early morning and I had a lot of emotional stress leading up to my period, it came 33 days after the start of my last one. It was heavy and painful and lasted 5 days approx. I had protected sex over 2 weeks ago, I am wondering how likely it is I might be pregnant?
A little bit of variation in the periodicity of menstruation is known. I do not think you should be worried about three days delay in your period. This seems to be due to a lot of stress you had! More bleeding and pain could be due to delay in menses. Moreover, you had sex only twice. Though in the fertile period, it was a protected sex. Still if you are in doubt, you may get ultrasonography done after about a week which will reveal exact diagnosis. Pregnancy leading to abortion does not seem to be the situation in your case, though it cannot be ruled out. Did you have any whitish tissue in the bleeding? If so, you may think of abortion, otherwise delayed menses. Bleeding of incomplete abortion does not stop like this. I feel you need to have a professional advice on managing your stress. I hope I have given you convincing guidance.
