Hello You mentioned in the query that your mother is a patient of high cholesterol and she was taking rosuvastatin (rosulip ) and now this drug stopped and advised citalopram 10 mg for 30 days for depression. I want to tell you that rosulips never causes depression . Since your mother is having depression so citalopram is good anti depressant and continue it as advised your doctor. But , what about the main disease i.e. hypercholestrolaemia . So please upload complete report of lipid profile of your mother , this is very important . Since rosulip never produces depression so consult your doctor about cholestrol level because at present medicine for depression and for high cholesterol ( for both ) lever are important. Good luck.
