Is Diarrhea After A Laparoscopic Appendectomy A Matter Of Concern?
Three weeks after larascopic appendectomy I feel bloated and sore and I guess that's expected. All of my bowel movements are loose and often stringy. There is no blood in stool but there is a little blood when I wipe and my anus feels moist and uncomfortable for long periods of time after a movement. I am 56 male and needed to give a urine sample for uds and it took my hours to produce it, my stomach felt tied in knots . Should I be concerned?
Abdominal pain after an appendectomy may be due to infection or abscess formation or it may be due to irritable bowel syndrome or hemorrhoids, etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Avoid spicy food, alcohol, smoking and caffeine drinks.
Get the stool examination is done, please consult your treating doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care.
