Is Diarrhea Normal And Will This Subside Sooner?

Hello ....
My husband had laparoscopic apendicectomy done 2 weeks ago .. His case was a bit complicated due to the formation of abscess ... Question is he has diarrhoea for the past 2 days and is feeling week.... Is this normal ? will this subside sooner? Or we need immediate treatment ?
