Hallow dear, Welcome to HCM,

Are you taking iron tablets? Iron is known to make the stools dark coloured with diarrhoea or constipation sometimes. Also it gives colicky pain in abdomen. If it is intolerable, please switch to time released iron spansules. However, do not take antacids with iron lest the iron absorption affected.

Any bleeding higher up in the gastrointestinal tract also causes these symptoms. Ulcer, worms in the intestines are few examples.

Whatever it is, please report to your obstetrician and get the problem solved.
