Is Dizziness A Normal Side Effect Of Gabapentin?

I want to know the most common sign effects of this medication? The pharmacy told me nausea and vomiting? That terrifies me because I have a phobia of vomiting and just took my first pill today. And my doctor just increased my Gabapentin to 3 pills, three times a day. It feels like my balance is off and I feel kind of cloudy in my mind. Is this normal or just as addictive as a pain medication?

Yes dizziness is common side effect of Gabapentin. However it is benign one and no need to worry. Consult treating doctor only when you have allergic reaction like rash. Conservative measures:
- Avoid sudden sitting/standing from bed
- Turn yourself on lateral position before getting up from bed
- Avoid sudden movements of head
- Drink lemon + salt water or coconut water
Dizziness will be stopped on stopping of Gabapentin.
