Is Draining Of Pus From The Wound Post A Spinal Surgery A Concern?

My 81 yo mother had a spinal surgery that dehisced in October. She has had wound care, a negative pressure wound vac and home health. In January a reconstructive surgeon attempted to close the wound and left a JP drain in place. All the staples and stiches have been removed but the wound is still draining about 4-6 Tablespoons per day. The bottom of the wound as looks to me like it is beginning to dehisce as well. I don't know what to do or how to help. She has been dealing with this wound since September 2016.
