Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is 23 moths old an loves to drink milk. She drinks about 10 oz in the am...Later at the sitter I send 3 10 oz cups...which she drinks including food...later before bed she will drink another 10 oz. Is this too much milk for her. She is not overweight and weighs about 26 lbs.
Firstly, eating too much milk will suppress her appetite for solid food because giving milk will create stomach fullness. Second- if she will not eat balanced nutrient diet including proper ratio of proteins, carbohydrates and fats, vitamins and mineral she will be malnourished soon. She needs 10 oz milk just in 1 time and rest she should take egg, bread, meat, cereals, vegetables and fruits. Please take caution if there is any food allergy.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
