Is Drinking Wine While Recovering From Large B Cell Lymphoma Safe?
My last course of chemo was December 2010, I do not drink alcohol every day but on the odd occasion when we are out for dinner my husband asked if I would like a wine I am not sure whether to have a glass due to my recovering of Large B Cell Lympthoma. I am also due to have a PETS scan to see how the tissue scarring is.
could be a problem. Both alcohol and lymphoma treatment increase uric acid and this can predispose to gout. BUT, you've got to be right in the middle of the lymphoma treatment (and probably predisposed to the gout) for this to be relevant. Chemotherapy reacts with a lot of other drugs and conditions BUT.. pretty well has to be within the same period of time for them to interact.
