Is Ectopic Pregnancy Related With Cramps, Abnormal Periods With Black Discharge?

I have pregnancy syptoms, bad cramping, and negative tests for two weeks now. Had pelvic exam, everything came back fine, Abnomal period two weeks ago w/ brownish / blackish discharge. Is it possible I am having an ectopic pregnancy? Should I be worried and go to ER?

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion ectopic pregnancy presents missed period with weakly positive urine pregnancy test,severe pain abdomen and spotting.Ultrasound also shows gestational sac outside the uterus.As you have period 2 weeks ago and negative urine pregnancy test there is no chance of ectopic pregnancy.The altered blood during period might be non specific.But if it is same even in the next period or more then it needs to be evaluated for any infection.
