Is Edema Causing Deep Red Rash On My Outer Thigh?

I ve been experiencing edema in my feet, ankles and basically my whole body. I ve picked up 22 lbs 7 months. I ve been to see my cardiologist who ran a echo, nuclear stress test and a 24hr heart halter due to the fact that I have a arrhythmia that can get quite scary at times. I just had a doppler of the neck and legs and found that there are some abnormalities in my legs. I don t know any more until my vascular heart doctor sees me on the 28th. This evening I was bathing and after I got out I noticed that I had a deep red rash on my outer thigh. When I went to go back to check it I noticed it had a line that was going further up my thigh....

Hello,

As per your case history you are having purpuric rash, my treatment advice is -
1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.
