Is Endocarditis Contagious?
I am trying to help a family, son and husband the mother is in the hospital with possible endocarditis, my question is: Is this condition contagious? I have a small granddaughter who is susceptible to everything, and I don t want to give them a place to stay it I put my family at risk. The mother is possibly involved with needle drugs.

No, endocarditis is not contagious. However certain organism causing endocarditis spread very fast. Do take appropriate preventive measures including preventive medicines, if you are involved in her active care and the doctors treating her advice so.
