Dear Patient,
Thanks for contacting HCM
As you may know that estelle sollo is trade name for drug
estradiol which is used to reduce is used to reduce symptoms of
menopause (such as hot flashes,
vaginal dryness). However, use of estradiol may cause swelling of the eyelids, face, lips, hands, lower legs and feet. Menopause may also cause swelling of joints which generally occurs at the end of day. Swelling occurs due to accumulation of fluid and this accumulated fluid is responsible for infection.
To rule out other causes of edema let me ask you some questions like whether of not you have palpitations (unusual awareness of ones heart beat), difficulty in breathing on less than ordinary exertion (or work in which you didn't had difficulty in breathing earlier), yellowish eyes and skin, nausea and
vomiting and decrease in urine output.
I generally advice my patients who have swelling of extremities to decrease salt intake (avoid fast food, canned food, pickles and adding salt to salads), yoga and
meditation.
Hope this has helped
Regards
