Is Excessive Vomiting An Indication Of Dehydration?
My Daughter has been vomiting for 12 hrs---i am so concerned about dehydration.........She is 5 and not really running a fever. She is now resting. The doctor gave her some zofran that kept her for 2 and a half hours----how will i know when she is dangerly dehydrated?
She does not seem to be dehydrated at present. These are the salient points which will indicate severe dehydration - Persistent lethargy, not playing. - Showing restless, agitated behavior. - Low urine output. - Loss of skin elasticity. - Sunken eyeballs. - The altered sensorium in very advanced stages.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
