Is Fever Also A Sign Of Onset Of Puberty?

Hello, my daughter is 12, she's starting with the normal puberty signs like hair and her breast starting to grow a little, and soreness, but now she has 100.1 fever for the last 2 days... could it be all the same thing or should I look for something else? She seems alright, she eats, same energy well maby a little more tired than usuall

Thanks for posting your query at HealthCareMagic. Fever may occur due to many reasons but usually it is indicative of infection. Fever is unrelated to her puberty. But increase in basal body temperature by 1 or 2°F may occur at the time of ovulation. I am not sure whether you are talking about it. You have also not mentioned whether she has other symptoms like cough. If not, and if she seems fine otherwise, you may not worry. But if the fever persists please consult your doctor. You may use paracetamol tablet and cold sponging in order to relieve the fever.
