Is Fever And Chest Congestion Normal After Taking Levofloxacin?
Where can I get Retoz? I have bronchitis I am allergic to penicillin so I was given Levofloxacin. I have a fever still. I ve only started taking it 2 days ago I m getting ready to take the 3rd day dose. I feel the same feverish lots of mucus but my chest is starting to relax. Should I go back to my DR s and change medication?
Hello Welcome here. Antibiotics take time to show their effects, may be 3-5 days. You have taken levofloxacin for two days and there is some symptomatic improvement. This suggest that drug is showing its effects. I would suggest you to continue with this drug for atleast 5days. Premature changing of drugs might result in relapse of your symptoms. For fever you can take tablet paracetamol 500mg when needed.
Hope this helps
Thanks
