Is Fibrohazed Opacities In The Left Upper Lungs In An X-ray Report A Concern After Getting Treated For TB?
Hi just wanna ask recently i had a xray check up and it says fibrohazed opacities in the left upper lungs - consider PTB left upper lung , activity undetermined . I actually had acute TB before way back 2018 then i had to took a treatment for that. That took me for a year to did that. Now I m was required to take a fit to work clearance and this is the reason why.
Fibrotic opacities in an old treated case of pulmonary tuberculosis are not always diagnostic of active tuberculosis. In reality, if the treatment of tuberculosis was completed, the presence of, pulmonary opacities, are just diagnostic of healed tuberculosis. In fact, many pulmonary opacities of healed tuberculosis, remain unchanged even for a very long period. The only final diagnosis in such cases is by microscopic examination of sputum for AFB or culture of the sputum for AFB.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
