Is Gall Bladder Surgery Recommended At 75 Years Age?
hi, i m limon. my grandfather is affected with prostate cancer. his gall bladder is totally damaged. According to the to the opinion of our country doctor gall bladder must be cut off. But his physical condition is very poor to go to surgery. What should we do at this moment.....
With any kind of surgery the risks must be balanced against the benefits. Is his gallbladder so damaged that he is having severe pain, infection, or could die? In that case, he might need the surgery. If he is not having problems with his gallbladder, then his poor condition would add to the risks of surgery that outweigh any possible benefit. In that case, it should not be done. Hope this answers your query.
