Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 8 yr old son, was playing with older brother and pretending to take a "punch" he swung his head to the right and downward in the same motion, he hit the back of a chair, solid wood, at the top of nose where the sway is as it meets the forehead, the exact moment it happened I grabbed him and right then it was already bruised, the started to bleed and the swelling. Within 1 min. the swelling had tripled in size and this has been some 20-25 min ago and his right eye is starting to turn blue. I know there is no treatment for broken nose but my concern is his head, and how hard he hit it. Should be go to ER?
