Is Gonnorhea A Asymptomatic Disease?
My husband is currently experiencing testicular burning/pinching sensation, especially when riding on a regular bicycle or motorcycle. This is a new symptom, however he rarely rides a regular bicycle, but does ride a motorcycle fairly frequently. I had an episode of vaginal itch with a green discharge a few months back & chalked it up to a yeast infection & took Diflucan, which seemed to help. But now I m doing some reading & have come across information on green vaginal discharge & a connection with gonnorhea. Which also seems to cause testicular pain. Now I am concerned. I am 100% faithful to my husband & to my knowledge he is to me also. We have only been married 2 yrs & together for about 3. My question is, can gonnorhea go undetected for a long period of time & be basically asymptomatic?

Gonorrhea in women can exist without much symptoms or/and go undetected for months. Smear from cervix and Gonococcal culture from the cervical swab will reveal the presence of infection. Gonorrhea may produce testicular symptoms in males. The scrotal pain might not be related to STD also is possible. Only with investigations and finding of examination, we can either confirm or rule out Gonorrhea. Greenish discharge also common with Trichomonas vaginitis where the treatment is entirely different.
