Is Group-b Streptococcal Dermatitis Contagious?

I was just diagnosed by a physician-- I have Group-B Streptococcal Dermatitus-- Erythrasma. How could I have contracted it? Is it contageous, and if so, how do I protect my fiance' from contracting it? I'm getting a 10-day Rx filled for Amoxicillin today, but are there any additional recommended treatment methods? I started using Zeasorb-AF (Miconozole Nitrate 2%) powder before getting the dianosis, so I assume that I should stop using it since I was told by the doctor that I do not have a fungal infection. I am 55, male, 5'10", 165 lbs.
