Is Hard Lump In Thigh After Injury A Serious Condition?
Hi, I fell a week ago and have a large bruise at the top of my thigh. The bruising in the centre has almost disappeared with dark purple outline but there is a hard lump in the middle that is painful when I move and it feels warm to touch. Should I see my doctor?
Hi Welcome to healhcaremagic After going through your query I concluded that you got hematoma in your thigh. If you has no fever, then no need to worry much. Hematoma gradually resolved by itself. Thrombophob gel local application three times a day over it(no rubbing) can help in resolving it. Sometimes haematoma does not resolve by themselves. In these cases aspiration with wide bore needle is done to suck the collected blood under aseptic condition for which you need to visit doctor. For pain you can take analgesic such as ibuprofen. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
