Is Having Palpitations One Of The Symptoms Of Perimenopause?
I am a 52 yo female with sleep apnea and mitral valve prolapse. The mvp has been asymptomatic for years. It seems like when I use my cpap machine, i get palpitations. The palpitations usually happen after I fall asleep. Never while awake. When I have a bad episode of palpitations, it seems like I m on edge all day, anything will make my heart race. I have been to several Dr s and cardiologists. They want me to start medications instead of finding out what s causing the palpitations . Btw, I think i maybe perimenopausal also. The palpitations may start a day or week before my period. Can any of these issues cause palpitations? I know the mvp can, but can my cpap or hormones cause the palpitations?
