Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I explained this in my last answer to your question.
This depends entirely on the underlying cause of heart failure, the patients overall health and age. Heart failure can be reversible. Heart failure isn't a diagnosis itself, rather a 'state' that people can move in and out of. For example, in otherwise healthy people; severe anaemia, hyperthyroidism or a severe infection may precipitate heart failure.
As the underlying causes are treated, the heart failure will improve. For many patients heart failure exists to a greater or lesser extent as a result of a specific condition and this will dictate which part of the hearts pumping mechanism is failing and therefore which features present.
Basically it depends what is causing the heart failure, if the underlying cause can be rectified and/or controlled with drugs, the heart failure will improve.
