Is Heavy Menstrual Bleeding After Taking Steroids A Case Of Medical Emergency?
Hi, my daughter age 14 had a course of high dose steroids for her inflamed shoulder 4 weeks ago. The course was for 2 weeks. She started having a heavy period one week into the course and still continues to have her period two weeks post discontinuation of the medication. Do I wait for things to normalize or do I need to seek medical review?
As a first line management you can take drugs like Tranexemic acid to control bleeding. If bleeding persist better to consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.
