Is High Bp Along With Dizziness And Nausea A Cause For Concern?

I am a 52 YO Female., Apprx. 220 lbs. I have been having bouts of dizziness and nausea and have taken my BP twice today- 147/107 and 137/102 I have never had problems with high BP before-but have been experiencing the dizziness and nausea for the past (3) months. Should I be overly concerned?

Hi,welcome to HCM.
These symptoms in your case can be attributed to combination of factors namely high body weight(morbid obesity) and high blood pressure.Prompt reduction of body weight in your case is highly mandate.Drugs like Statins namely Rosuvastatin and fenofibrate can be instituted in your case for control of lipid abnormalities if any.Maintain your body weight around 100-120 pounds and BMI around 22.5.Restrict your calorie intake to less than 1900kcals/day.Regular physical exercise for 20min/day will help.Blood pressure reduction can be well achieved through antihypertensives like Ace inhibitors.Consult your Endocrinologist for further queries.
Thank you
