Is High Level Of WBC Count During Pregnancy A Matter Of Concern?
hi Dr. I recently found out that I'm few weeks pregnant and also my reports showed that I have 1-2 rbc, 10-12 WBC and calcium oxalate crystals, also my ketone bodies showed positive. I'm also having abdominal pain and lower back pain.. I would appreciate if u could let me knw if there is anything to be concerned about.. thank you!
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Presence of 10-12 WBC in the urine is indicative of urinary tract infection. Moreover, presence of ketone bodies in urine indicates that whether you have given the sample while you were starving for a long time, or you have diabetes mellitus. I would suggest you to get your urine culture and sensitivity test done, along with the blood sugar levels testing to know the exact diagnosis and get treated accordingly. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
