Hi I am an 18yo male My sex drive has been ever increasing but all I can do to releave myself is to masturbate but recently I have discovered that the itching and pains that have been coming from the head of my penis is due to a small bump next to my urethra. Is this serious? And what causes it?

Hello,

Avoid indulgence in any type of sexual activity for a couple of days. Take warm sitz baths, and topical nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like naproxen, one stat after food to get relieve from pain. Your symptoms are indicative of urethral caruncle. Treatment is done with topical creams like hydrocortisone, it effectively helps to get rid of itching. take care of your hygiene.

Wear loose fitting soft cotton clothes so that it does not get hurt by friction rub with the clothes. Get STD tests done to rule out any STIs. If report is positive, you will be treated with antibiotics and antivirals. If urethral caruncles are persistent, get clinically examined by a urologist. In severe cases, minor surgery to remove it may be recommended by your treating doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
