Is It OK To Get Spotting In Birth Control?

I am on birth control and have had protective sex last week twice. My period is a week early, but it isn't normal, it is mostly dark brown with a little bit of blood and is not like normal. Is this spotting? could I be pregnant?

Hi.. Birth control pills are one of the causes of menstrual irregularities. Hence it could be the pills that have caused these symptoms.. The chance of pregnancy is unlikely...
