Hi,I am Neethu Vipin (Dietitian & Nutritionist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is it a better practice to eat a heavy breakfast (say 2 eggs, milk and some oat porridge) and reduce my lunch significantly, mostly without any rice? Is it okay to completely reduce on rice intake(which was my main lunch some months ago before I decided to cut down on my carbs)?
Thanx for using hcm, what you suggested for breakfast can be a gud one unless you consume yolk only three times a week, egg whites are good source of protein . Daily consumption of 2 yolks can increase your cholesterol level. As yolks are rich in cholesterol.
It is not necessary to eat rice. you can enjoy any of the whole grain cereal like whole wheat breads, oats, whole wheat pasta, quinoa cereal, bajra. If your interested in loosing weight then you have reduce carbohydrates but dont reduce protein. Consume lot of fresh fruit and vegetables as they are rich in nutreints.
