Is It A Bruise Or Infection Having Sore Red Swollen Toe?

Hi, last week I went to the foot doc for my swollen and red and painful big toe and he said it was probably a bruise from my shoes. It is still red and painful and swollen and now looks like it might be infected. What do you think it could be? I have been iceing it.

Hello,
Thanks for the query.

you might be having a low platelet count and hence you are developing these bruises.

Get your platelet levels checked.

Usually it takes around 2 weeks for the bruise to heal,

you can use oint thrombophobe to get a faster relief.

A photograph would have helped me better.

Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
