Is It Advisable For Hepatitis C Patient To Go High Altitude?

Sir, I am Hepatitis C Patient and undergone treatment with peg inferon 180 mcg and ribavirin 1200mg od. Now i am planned to move to High Altitude where cold climate prevails. (about 6500 ft ASL).. Please advice whether to go or not... aawaiting ur reply

I dont think any association between hepatitis c and high altitude lung problem. I advice you to go for some basic investigation like chest x ray , ECG, 2D ECHO before travel. High altitude pulmonary edema is all together a different entity and having no connection with hepatitis c.
