Is It Advisable To Change Medication To Manage Migraine?
I am a migraine patient from many years. But recently my attack has been increased. My doc put me on certain medicine with sides effects such as weight gain , hair loss, insomnia, confusion , forgetting. Without these medicine anyhow I have the above problem ( I am obese with hair loss and forgetful natural). So my question is -is it advisable to take new medicine. I am aware that migraine is not curable so deal with the pain as and when it comes. Pl advice.
I went through the history you are having migraine and on treatment form the same. Please mention the drug you are taking presently so that I can see whether the side effects which you have mentioned are because of migraine or because of some other cause. If one drug is causing some side effects it can be replaced by other drug there is no problem. Migraine usually becomes lesser in intensity and goes off and no need to worry it will not stay for ever and by the use of appropriate prophylactic drugs it can be controlled.
Do consult your doctor for prescription of drugs after confirmation of diagnosis by examination and appropriate tests.
Do write back to me for further questions.
Hope this is helpful yo you.
Thank you
