Is It Advisable To Consume Normal Food Post Removal Of Wisdom Tooth?

It's been a little over 4 days since I had my back left wisdom tooth taken out, is it okay that I have been eating normal foods such as chicken and cereal? I haven't had pain except for very mild aches. Also is there still a chance I can get dry socket? I'm a smoker to and only waited 24 hours to smoke again.

Thank you for your query,

Your question have a number of assumptions in it and I will consider one of it, i.e. your extraction was uneventful, without sutures and without trauma.
In this scenario, you eating normal food like chicken and cereals will be perfectly fine.
About dry socket, it usually happens when there is trauma during healing process. Since you have started smoking and you are not experiencing any pain etc. I assume that the healing process is taking place perfectly.

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
You can take a normal diet after 2 days of extraction. Since you are telling 4 days over, dry socket will not occur. Dry socket will occur within 3 days after extraction. Mild pain will be there for a week. You can complete the course of antibiotics and analgesics, do saline gargling.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
