Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I would recommend avoiding weight gaining and exercises that may cause back pain. Considering surgery of the spine, it is necessary to avoid exercises that may need bending or weight lifting. Weight gaining may be a problem, because the vertebral column holds most of the body weight.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
