Hello,

133/88 is not a high blood pressure. The target BP for you is 130/80, but at times it may be mildly high. This amount of blood pressure cannot cause neck pain, but any pain or stress can cause mild increase in blood pressure. If you have no heart disease, I would suggest to consider BP medications like Losartan or Ramipril classes which will better control the diastolic blood pressure (the pressure in the denominator).

The neck pain is often due to work related stress or the sitting posture. It is advisable to consider neck exercises (occupational therapy) for 5 minutes after every hour of sitting in office. Please avoid taking Cataflam frequently as it has lot of side effects including acidity, problems with kidney and may also increase the blood pressure. You may consider some pain relieving gels or ointments.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Praseetha Narayanan, OB & GYN Specialist
