Is It Advisable To Take Both, Cymbalta And Zoloft, Together For Depression?

200mg of Zoloft and 90 mg of Cymbalta seems like to much to me.....started off with the Zoloft with no positive results so my dr added Cymbalta...within 3 days the depression was better but he didn't dc the Zoloft, kept me on both....what do you think??? thanks, sandy

In your case, you are getting response due to synergistic effect of zoloft and cymbalta. These both antidepressants are from same group and act on same receptor. Ideally, one should be tapered down, but if you are feeling better with combination, that carry on with both for few weeks and later your doc would taper one of them down.
