Is It Advisable To Take Primolut To Prepone Or Postpone Periods?
Hi I am 38 years old, I have a very important occasion from 30 OCt till 10 Nov and I dont want to have my period during that time. I was advised to take primolut N to postone my period. This means I have to take it for around 20 days, would it be better to take the medicine to prepone the period so it will be finished by 30 Oct, and how is that? Note: I have regular periods.

Primolut-N contains norethisterone that is used in the treatment of menstrual disorders such as painful, irregular or heavy periods and abnormal vaginal bleeding due to hormonal changes. It can be used to delay the onset of someone's regular menstrual cycle. It is also used to prevent unwanted pregnancies from unprotected sexual activities. Primolut-N only contains a progestin called norethisterone is similar to woman's natural hormone, progesterone. The normal dosage of Primolut-N is one tablet 3 times daily for 10-14 days.
Start taking this medication 3 days before the onset of expected menstrual cycle. Normal menstrual cycle will begin 2-3 days after stop taking this pill. But, sometimes it may take to begin period 7-10 days after stopping the pill. You should inform your doctor before start taking this pill.
