Is It An Emergency Situation When Someone With Stomach Cancer Experiences Severe Vomiting, Ear Bleeding, Disorientation, And Dizziness?
A few hours ago my friend got sick and started vomiting. She was vomiting so hard that the strain caused her ear to bleed. She says she’s really disoriented and dizzy. She’s just started vomiting again a few minutes ago. What could this be and how big of an emergency is it? Should she go to the ER? She’s in her mid-50’s and has been struggling with stomach cancer for years now, recently she’s been cut off from her cancer treatment.
Yes, it is an emergency situation, get her clinically examined in the ER. Get her ears examined so that treatment can be started at the earliest. She may be referred to an ENT for further treatment and management of the ear if needed. Prognosis of stomach cancer in the early stages is very good. Get her treated at the early stage, do not neglect treatment.
The higher the stage, the lower the chances of a cure. Even when stomach cancer can't be cured, treatments may control the cancer to prolong life, so she is advised to be connected to a GP so that she is under treatment and observation. Early and advanced stomach cancer can cause bleeding into the stomach. Any type of vomiting or bleeding needs attention and medical aid in such patients.
