Is It Danger To Take Alcohol After Hysterectomy?

I didnt realise i was not allowed to drink any alcohol after a hysterctomy i thought it would be ok as i am only on paracetomal it has been 8 weeks now and have a few glasses every day. I have had no problems just a little swelling should i totally stop now ?
