i am 30 years old nd my name s sunaina.i had my urine test tdy nd the result was it shows pus cells 80 -100 is it too high nd dangerous wht wl be the consequence of ths if i dnt hav medicine nd tak care the next epithelial cells its showng 6-8s tht normal r high nd the consequence f ths pls let me knw
Hello dear I understand your concern Normal pus cell in the urine is up to 5/hpf. But presence of 80-100 suggests very high and suggests urinary tract infection. If it is untreated causes kidney damage, urethral stricture and sepsis. I would suggest to consult the urologist and take proper treatment. Urologist will give following advises: Tablet septran Ds Tablet pyridium and tablet nitrofurantoin Syrup cital Drink plenty of water and juice of cranberry, orange and pine apple Maintain proper pelvic hygiene, empty the bladder completely and do not delay in empty.
