Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Vomiting blood after a bout of drinks and heartburn is definitely very dangerous and should not be taken lightly as the next bout of bleeding can be very serious unless one known exactly what is causing bleeding.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Get to the ER urgently and inform the correct history to the Doctor so that an urgent upper GI Endoscopy can be performed to know the cause and site of bleeding.
This can be due to
Mallory Weiss syndrome where one get a fissure at the gastroesophageal junction and cause bleeding and usually this is not serious.
Another reasons can be Gastritis,
ecchymosis, or an ulcer that is bleeding and may need an admission and active management to stop the bleeding.
Get started with a PPI like
Pantoprazole or
Esomeprazole.
Antacid.
Ice cold water, ice cream or milk.
Antacids.
once diagnosed the further management would be as per the cause found.
Never drink alcohol or use tobacco in any form.
No stress or anxiety as these increase the
gastric acid secretions and cause GERD.
Have soft bland diet and small frequent feeds.
