Is It Due To Shaving I Am Getting Large Painful Bumps In Pubic Area Causing Bruising?
Hi doc, I'm a 24 year old male. For the last 2-3 months I've had large painful bumps in my pubic area that cause bruising. I can pop em after a few days and get white puss at first then puss blood mix then just blood. I do shave in that area so could this be an extreme ingrown hair something else I should be worried about
There is bacterial infection in your pubic area caused by shaving. It is mostly due to poor hygiene of the area. after shaving the hair follicles become clogged and get infected. Chance of ingrown hairs cannot be neglected. You should take course of antibiotic(Ofloxacin or Doxycycline) orally and topically. Maintain proper hygiene of the area and avoid shaving for atleast 2 months.
Do consider a positive feedback as a credit to my work. Let me know if you have any further questions.
