Is It Good To Take HCG Injections During Pregnancy?

Hi is it good to take HCG injections during pregnancy? Why is it advised when I read it will have some side effects and also cause birth defects in baby? It s even mentioned by FDA to not to use this during pregnancy. Is PROLUTON injection safer than HCG and can be used as a replacement for HCG injections? Please suggest

I read your query and i appreciate your concern regarding this issue.
I want to know is there any history of recurrent Abortions??
As far as HCG injection concern it is used to stimulate ovaries/follicles.
Sometimes over stimulation of ovary done then twins/triplets pregnancy can occur. HCG injection must not be prescribed during pregnancy. It is prescribed in case of recurrent Abortions.
If you are pregnant then tell your doctor that you are pregnant.

Secondly Proluton is a synthetic progesterone which is given in pregnancy to support it and prevent loss of pregnancy( abortion).
It is naturally produce by placenta but it is given from outside to fulfil the deficiency of progesterone which may occur during pregnancy. It is safe during pregnancy.
Kindly consult and discus regarding it with your Gynaecologist.
