Is It Harmful To Get Hurt On The Abdomen During Pregnancy?

my 16 year old daughter may be 6 weeks pregnant. was kicked by baby father in the side at 3 weeks. had some pain. has cramping. spotting and dark red blood clot. also the vomiting, breast tender, frequent urination, headaches, dizziness, not missed period yet, bloating, gained 4lbs, is she pregnant?

Dear Friend,

Kick or any trauma on the abdomen during any stage of pregnancy is a serious event. There is a risk of separation of products of conception from the uterine wall leading to termination of pregnancy.

Now instead of relying up on urine pregnancy test, straight a way get ultrasonography done. It will show the condition and viability of the pregnancy. Hope that the pregnancy is undisturbed; however you have to keep the possibility of miscarriage.

Please report to the Obstetrician ASAP, wasting time may worsen the situation.
