Is It Important To Apply Topical Cream After Having Ears Pierced?
My daughter got her ears pierced two months ago. Now an earring is embedded in her ear. Our doctor gave us some topical (numbing) ointment to apply to her ear, then I was to push it out. I couldn't get it. Any advice on how to make it easier for us?
I have gone through your query and can understand..
As per your complain there is a possibility that due to inflammation the soft tissue has overgrown over the earring or due to swelling over the earlobe there seems to be embedding of the earring.. In case if you are unable to remove the earring after numbing it with a numbing gel you should consult a general surgeon and he can remove it using fine tweezers after applying numbing gel.. You can also do cool compresses over the earlobe and if it is swollen the swelling will start reducing and it will become further easier to remove the earring. Once the healing takes place it will be better that you make her wear earrings made of gold or plastic as they are inert material and will not cause allergic reaction as other metals can decompose on exposure to air and water and can cause allergc reaction and infection of ear lobe..
Hope this information helps..
