Is It Labor Pain If Experiencing Pain In V-area, Thighs, Lower Back And Thick Yellow Discharge During 38th Week Of Pregnancy?
38 weeks pregnant and found thick-yellow and white discharge in my undies; I also have lower abdominal cramping. My baby is moving around a lot and I ache to walk, I get sharp pains in my v-area, thighs and lower back. My hands and face are swollen. I have a scheduled c-section in 3 days.. I can't sleep due to my achy body or get comfortable. Am I in labor?
Your discharge associated with pain in lower back, vagina and legs most probably is be due to bacterial infection in your vagina. SOmetimes, this infection can trigger your labour pains also. SO it could be both together. You may see yellowish, greenish discharge also due to passage of meconium from foetus, if baby is in distress, or baby;s presentation is breech. In any of the above condition , it is wise to see your Doctor immediately. I it is due to infection, you need to get immediately Antibiotics. If in case it is due to labour pains, your doctor may decide to do LSCS immediately. My advise is to see your doctor immediately. Best wishes, Dr H Hamdani
