Hi,
In very early pregnancy, an abortion mimics a normal period as the size of the products expelled is very small. To know if the abortion process is complete, you need to see a specialist for a complete clinical evaluation and get a trans-vaginal sonogram after two weeks to confirm the completion of the process without any retained products. If everything is normal, please go for regular contraception and avoid such induced abortions further on as they could impede your fertility status in future. Hope this helps.
